It seems like Hello Games is pretty determined to improve the gameplay of "No Man's Sky" following the many disappointments it gathered from the actual players. Their efforts are now focused on the first-ever expansion of the title, which will be called "Foundation Update."

Hello Games circulated a press release to announce that "No Man's Sky" will have a downloadable content (DLC) coming in a couple of days. The DLC will add content like base building and another detail that the company describes as something that puts "in place a foundation of things to come."

"In the nine weeks since then our small team has been hard at work on development, testing and certification for the Foundation Update. It won't be our biggest update, but it is the start of something," the company wrote on "No Man's Sky" website.

"The discussion around 'No Man's Sky' since release has been intense and dramatic. We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game that our team loves and feels so passionately about," they admitted.

Players of "No Man's Sky" recently gave up hopes after a few weeks of playing the game as they apparently found it monotonous. Those who have been expecting more exploration activities and hardcore challenges apparently were dismayed by the fact that the game did not fulfill their expectations, considering that "No Man's Sky" was greatly hyped before its release.

Disappointed players even gave "No Man's Sky" some embarrassing nominations at the 2016 Steam Awards, calling it "Biggest Disappointment Ever," "One Man's Lie" and others.

Hello Games' plans to improve the gameplay of "No Man's Sky" by releasing an update, but according to iDigital Times, it may come too late. Nevertheless, the game may prove that there is a thing called second chance and may bring back the lost delight of the players.

The recent update of "No Man's Sky" is patch 1.09, which came out on Sept. 24, primarily to fix issues and bugs. Who knows, the DLC may prove that "No Man's Sky" is indeed, a title that can last for a long time.
