Nokia Tablet specs, rumors, release date news: recent leak shows Nokia Tablet with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset

Following the release of Nokia 6 in China this month, the company is rumored to be coming out with a tablet. This is the first-ever tablet that Nokia will release in partnership with HMD Global.

Rumor has it that the company is set to release a tablet with 18.4-inch size, Nokiapoweruser spotted. Aside from the screen, the device seems to be installed with an "Android FIH Edition" OS, which was also seen on GFXBench.

FIH Mobile is under the umbrella of Foxconn, which is the company that produced HMD Global's Nokia-branded lines. The listing shows that the tablet will have an Android 7.0 with 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and Adreno 540 graphics card. Further under the hood, it may be installed with 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm central processing unit (CPU), which indicates an 835 chipset.

It is also possible that the rumored Nokia tablet will have a 52 GB of built-in memory, which may pertain to the amount that the operating system (OS) will need from the 64 GB total memory.

As for the alleged camera specs, it is shown to have 12-megapixel (MP) back camera, which is capable of shooting 4K ultra high-definition (UHD) videos at 3,840 x 2160 resolution. It also has several features such as face detection and autofocus. The front camera also boasts a 12 MP feature, and has the same capabilities as the rear. Other specs include heart rate, accelerometer, barometer, pedometer, proximity sensor, compass, among others.

It is expected that the tablet will also perform well in the market, considering that Nokia 6 was sold out immediately last week following the flash sale on JD.com, the exclusive retailer of the brand. HMD Global confirmed that more units will be coming soon.

The upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 may be the venue where HMD Global will announce their future products. Aside from Nokia 6, a video surfaced to showcase Nokia 8, and another rumored E1 is said to come with budget-friendly features.
