NVIDIA has been successful with the release of their latest GPUs based on the Pascal architecture, the GeForce GTX 1060 and 1070. The top-of-the-line video cards are effective in providing high-quality gaming experience for the players. However, the company was rivaled by AMD with the release of Radeon RX 470 and 480, which are both based on the latest Polaris architecture. The competition between the two OEMs today may be tight, but NVIDIA is surely enjoying the high profit and positive reviews of their high-tier GPUs. According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA may also be planning to conquer the low-end market with the release of GeForce GTX 1050 next month.

According to Yibada, there is a possibility that NVIDIA will release the GeForce GTX 1050 to further expand its target buyers. Some video gamers today may be after the best quality of GPUs, but some may also consider the price of the video cards that they are going to purchase. Therefore, some may opt to buy the cheaper video card that has enough specs to provide a quality game graphics. This is the reason why NVIDIA is going to push through with the release GTX 1050, and for those who are looking forward to the company's low-tier GPU, it is possible that the new NVIDIA video card will be out next month.

iTech Post reported that the official launching of the GeForce GTX 1050 may happen sometime between October 24 and 28. NVIDIA has not yet given an official announcement regarding a new video card launch, but the estimated release period for the GTX 1050 is patterned on the launch window between the GTX 1080 and the preceding Pascal GPU.

Before NVIDIA's GTX 1060 3 GB model was released last month, it was first thought that the video card would be the GTX 1050. This time around, NVIDIA might push through with the entry level GTX 1050 this October, aiming to rival AMD's Radeon RX 460 in the cheaper GPU category.

iSports Times reported that the GeForce GTX 1050, the fifth member in the NVIDIA GTX series, will be the last NVIDIA video card based on the Pascal architecture. Specifically, the GTX 1050 will be based on the GP107-400 processor. It will use the same technology from the Titan X, although the latter's tag price is set at $1,200 while the GTX 1050 is expected to be more affordable. The 2 GB variant of GTX 1050 has an estimated price ranging from $120 to $130, while the higher 3 GB model will cost at least $150.
