Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 release date news 2016: Both GPUs are in high demand, sell out
The new Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 are certainly making a lot of noise in the tech industry these days. Following a successful release for both GPU in May, the two PC hardware systems are in high demand and reports have been circulating that the company could no longer keep up.
Consumers are a bit disappointed that they could no longer get both the GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 anywhere online or at retail stores near them. According to WCCF Tech, this only means that Nvidia has successfully developed a game-changing GPU, which is said to be the best in the business right now. There are even reports saying that all retail stores across the world are running out of both GPUs.
Nonetheless, this did not surprise several tech experts as they have already predicted that the Pascal-based GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 are going to take the top spot in the competition as soon as they roll out their new products.
Interestingly so, there are reports suggesting that other retailers are marking up the prices of both GPUs because of its high demand. What's even more interesting is that despite the high prices, the new graphics cards have continued to sell out.
Meanwhile, the Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080 is said to be the best graphics card that has ever been made by the company. The GTX 1080, along with the GTX 1070 both have 16nm Fin Field Effect Transistor (FinFET). The company is said to have focused their development on high performance and lower power consumption.
According to some reports, the new GTX 1080 is faster than the previous GTX model, the Titan X, by 25 percent. The GTX 1080 Founder Edition is currently being sold at $699, while its base unit is available for $599.
On the other hand, the GTX 1070 Founders Edition has a price tag of $499, while the regular edition is only available for $379.
