NVIDIA Pascal Titan X release date news 2016: New leaked benchmark results show new Titan X better than older GTX Titan X
New leaked information about the highly anticipated NVIDIA Pascal Titan X recently made it to the internet. According to reports, the new Titan X could possibly become the most powerful graphics card known to men. Apparently, the synthetic benchmark results suggest that the GPU is 200 percent faster than the GeForce GTX Titan X.
In a report by MobiPicker, the synthetic benchmark results come from several people who were given the opportunity to test the NVIDIA Titan X Pascal samples. The goal is to compare the new version of Titan X to the old version using the NVIDIA Compute Unified Device Architecture or CUDA.
What's interesting is that there are only a few people who were allowed access to the new NVIDIA Pascal Titan X, which include people from the press. However, the new leaked information came from the reviewers who obviously were able to test the hardware unit.
It is important for fans to know that the result is only based CUDA. This does not necessarily mean that the new one is better than the other in terms of gaming performance. According to reports, both GPUs are different in terms of architecture optimized cuDNN libraries, which basically means that it's hard to get a reliable result when comparing them outside Compute Unified Device Architecture or CUDA Toolkit.
Nonetheless, it appears that the new Pascal Titan X is better than the old GTX Titan X when it comes to synthetic CUDA-based tool.
Meanwhile, previous reports revealed that the new Titan X has 3854 CUDA cores, while the older GTX Titan X only has 3072. The other powerful GPU from NVIDIA, the GTX 1080, also has 2560 CUDA cores. It also has a clock speed of 1417MHz, which is much higher than the previous Titan X at 1000 MHz.
The new NVIDIA Pascal Titan X is definitely made for the serious computer freaks with its $1,200 price tag.
