Oklahoma City Thunder trade rumors: Thunder may let go of Victor Oladipo and Steven Adams

After a hot start in the league, the Oklahoma City Thunder have cooled off drastically and find themselves slipping down the rankings.

A hot start saw them win six of their first seven games, but as of press time, they have slipped four consecutive games to stand third in the Northwest Division.

Russell Westbrook has been a man on a mission and his averages show just how good he can be as a leader with 32 points, 9.7 rebounds and 9.9 assists per game in their first 11 matches this year.

However, the lack of star power surrounding him may be the team's ultimate downfall and talks are now circulating that they may address that soon. Many are linking the Thunder to the Golden State Warriors in a trade that will see them get one of the best shooters in the league.

The talk is that the Thunder are willing to let go of Victor Oladipo and Steven Adams to get Klay Thompson and Zaza Pachulia.

Oklahoma City and the Warriors are closely linked with the move of Kevin Durant to Golden State significantly weakening the Thunder. While it has made the Warriors stronger, they lack the interior presence that could be addressed if this deal falls through and they get Adams.

As for the Thunder, they might lose a scrappy big man, but they are getting Thompson who is an undoubted star in the league and it might work out for the team in the future.

Oladipo is a capable player but has struggled a bit with the Thunder. With Thompson in tow, the Thunder will definitely have more space for movement and will be much more of a threat.

It will be surprising if the Warriors let go of Thompson at the moment as they are starting to work together as a team in the Bay Area. However, if things go south and they show a need for a big man, then this offer should be one they look into.
