'Once Upon A Time' Season 4 Spoilers, Plot Recap: Snow And Charming's Plan Does Not Work
There is no such thing as a fool-proof plan. This was made clear in the latest episode of "Once Upon A Time" on Sunday on ABC.
In the episode titled "The Best Laid Plans," Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) were shown in the enchanted forest touching a unicorn to have visions of their unborn child.
However, they had different visions, which indicated that the child would be a combination of good and bad.
They chanced upon a peddler who showed them the way to the Sorcerer's Apprentice and also informed them that Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) had given birth to an egg which Ursula (Merrin Dungey) and Cruella (Victoria Smurfit) were guarding.
After the Apprentice informed Snow and Charming that they could save their child from evil by putting the bad half into another child, they decided to use Maleficent's egg which was already evil. After the evil was put into the egg, it cracked, revealing a baby which the Apprentice promptly banished to the real world along with Cruella and Ursula. This left Snow and Charming with the guilt that they had infused evil into a baby who was later revealed to be Lily, Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) friend from her childhood.
Action then shifted back to Storybrooke where the hunt for the author of the book was underway. Regina (Lana Parrilla) gave a photo of the magical door to Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) to throw him off, but he was able to see the magic and deduced that Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) had the real door. They then put the town under a sleeping spell which Henry, Snow and Charming managed to escape because they had previously been under one.
As Henry escaped to the Sorcerer's mansion, Rumplestiltskin and Maleficent put Regina under a spell and imprisoned her. Henry then found the key to the door in the book and gave it to Snow and Charming who then proceeded to confess to Emma about what they had done.
Understandably Emma was angry and headed over to August (Eion Bailey). There in spite of his warning she opened the door to find that the author was actually the peddler. Finally as Maleficent went in search of her child, Rumplestiltskin set about planning his next move.
