'Once Upon A Time' season 6 news, spoilers: Evil Queen goes after Snow White? Regina, Zelena become roommates

The premiere episode of "Once Upon A Time" season 6 could find Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) in a face-off with an old enemy.

Based on the most recent spoilers, the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) will be returning to the fictional town of Storybrooke, Maine, and she won't be going after Regina Mills (also Parrilla), her other half, nor Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), Snow White's daughter.

Instead, she will be reviving her old rivalry with Snow White aka Mary Margaret Blanchard.

According to TV Guide, "Once Upon A Time" creator Adam Horowitz hinted that there will be trouble ahead for Snow White and that the character needs to "get ready" for an impending showdown with the Evil Queen. It remains to be seen if Snow White, who has spent so much time working things out with Regina, will be able to muster up the courage and strength to defeat the villain and save the inhabitants of Storybrooke.

As for Regina, the logline for the premiere of "Once Upon A Time" season 6 revealed that the character will be taking a major step in an important relationship. Following the death of Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), her true love, Regina will be moving in with her sister, Zelena (Rebecca Mader).

Apart from the Evil Queen's arrival and Regina shacking up with Zelena, the season 6 premiere will also find the Storybooke heroes banding together to stop Hyde (Sam Witwer). Meanwhile, a stranger will aid Rumple (Robert Carlyle) in his quest to set Belle (Emilie de Ravin) free from the sleeping curse.

In other news, the relationship between Hook and Emma, which blossomed in the previous season, will grow in season 6 as the show takes a look at Hook's backstory.

"Last year we saw Emma saying I love you to him when they weren't in any sort of danger," Horowitz told Entertainment Weekly. "Hook is excited to progress that relationship. At the same time, he is on his path of redemption, and we are going to see Hook doing his best to be heroic this year," he added.

"Once Upon a Time" season 6 debuts Sunday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
