'Once Upon a Time' season 6 spoilers news: New set photo reveals filming has started; Evil Queen one of upcoming season's main arcs?
As the premiere episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 6 gets nearer, the hype surrounding the probable arcs and storylines build up even more. It definitely looks like fans would be in for a lot of twists, turns and adventures when the upcoming season returns to the small screen.
To hint on what season 6 could explore, executive producer Edward Kitsis recalled a scene from the maiden episode of the show during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"What's funny is in the pilot if you watch when Emma sees the wolf that stops her from leaving town, the book flips open and we see all these worlds. It's time to tell new stories, broaden the show, and move forward," he told EW.
He intimated that while the possibility of exploring those stories has always been there, the stories themselves were "pushed on pause."
What is certain with "Once Upon a Time" season 6 is that the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) will be back to cause mayhem in Storybrooke. Fans know how the season 5 finale had Regina (also played by Parrilla) pushing her evil person (the Evil Queen) out of her system. However, instead of annihilating the Evil Queen, it became a separate entity.
If the latest teaser poster for "Once Upon a Time" is any indication, it looks like the story of the Evil Queen will be one of the main arcs for the upcoming season. Check out the poster below.
That malevolent look, coupled with the caption "Long live the Queen" seem to portend the worse for the good-natured citizens of the idyllic town.
Meanwhile, TV Line has confirmed that Raphael Sbarge will be back to reprise his role as Dr. Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket on season 6's premiere episode. He was last seen on the show in season 4.
In related news, showrunner Adam Horowitz recently shared a photo on Twitter showing that filming for "Once Upon a Time" season 6 has officially begun. The photo showed Emma (Jennifer Morrison) in a scene with Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and Captain Hook (Collin O'Donoghue).
"Once Upon A Time" season 6 will be back on the small screen Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
