'One Piece' chapters 854, 855 spoilers: Luffy, Sanji to finally reconcile in upcoming chapter?

With only a few hours left before his supposed wedding to his shockingly evil bride Pudding, Sanji is about to make a spur-of-the-moment decision that could make or break his own life in the next chapter of "One Piece."

Everything is set and things are going smoothly in the hours before the big wedding that will seal the Vinsmokes' bloody fate. Or at least, this was what Big Mom and the rest of her overly confident brood thought in the previous chapter of the long-running Japanese manga series.

None of them has caught on to the fact that Brûlée's Mirror World is compromised. Luffy and Nami have both managed to escape Mont-d'Or's prison thanks to Jinbe's help, while the groom, Sanji, has finally come to his senses and is on his way to meet Luffy at their promised place. Or is he?

Although it was initially hinted that Sanji was resigned to his fate and was prepared to die along with his family just to ensure his friends' safety, chapter 854 titled "What the Hell Am I Doing?!" ended with him seemingly having a change of heart. But is he really heading out to give the food he originally prepared for Pudding to Luffy? If he is, will he make it out of Big Mom's castle without a hitch? Shouldn't informing his family about Big Mom's plans be his first order of business?

Fans are expecting a potentially emotional chapter 855 as Sanji and Luffy finally meet after their chaotic last meeting, wherein fists and hurtful words were thrown. This will also effectively put an end to Luffy's self-induced hunger strike as Sanji presents him with a basket full of stuff he cooked as an apology. But will this impending reconciliation mean that Sanji has decided to finally reunite with the Straw Hats, or could this be him saying his final goodbyes to his dearest friend?

One fan on Reddit also remarked that the story seems to have turned from the Sanji Retrieval Mission to a Brook Rescue Arc. Now that Big Mom has developed a fondness for the Soul King that's so intense she insists on carrying him around like a ragdoll, how will the rest of the Straw Hats ever hope of getting him back? On top of this, will they ever manage to get a rubbing of Big Mom's Road Poneglyph for Robin?

Things are getting more intense as the Totto Land Arc progresses. With the Year of Sanji about to end, the conclusion to this ongoing arc is also just around the corner. Comicbook has even reported that a brand new spinoff arc featuring Portgas D. Ace will be coming afterward as part of the manga series' 20th-anniversary celebrations.

A new chapter of "One Piece" comes out in the next issue of the "Weekly Shounen Jump" magazine.
