Fans of the hit series "One Punch Man" hears happy news with the confirmation of the development of season 2. However, the second season might arrive later than expected.

No specific release date for season 2 has been announced yet, but reports suggest that the initial target date for the sequel has been delayed. The reason for the delay is, allegedly, the complexity of the overall plot of the series.

As stated by Screen Rant in September, "One Punch Man" is a very complex series, and there are a lot of materials from the first season as well as additional details that need to be addressed and incorporated in the second season.

As for the possible plot of season 2, GameNGuide reported a speculation that "One Punch Man" season 2 will see a weakened Saitama. After his intense battle with Lord Boros, some fans believe that Saitama might have lost some of his powers. He is also rumored to contend against Garou and Amai Mask in the upcoming installment.

Season 2 could also feature a storyline involving King, the "strongest man on Earth." In season 1, King is perceived as the most powerful S-class hero by his peers. However, this was eventually revealed to be false. He just always happened to be in the right place at the right time whenever Saitama saved the day.

As reported by iTech Post, a mysterious being called the "Evil Natural Water" will be included in season 2's storyline. This mysterious being is said to be attracted to powerful beings. It will make an interesting development in the story when the mysterious being finds itself not at all attracted toward the pretentious King who is supposed to be immensely powerful.

There are also speculations that Lord Boros may be alive after all after having supposedly been beaten to death by Saitama during the finale of "One Punch Man" season 1.

The second season of "One Punch Man" is expected to be aired sometime in 2017. However, as mentioned, Madhouse and remake creator Yusuke Murata have yet to issue an official announcement on the matter.
