OnePlus 3 release date, specs rumors: Leaked concept photos show completely new design
The OnePlus 3 is certainly one of the most highly anticipated smartphone releases this year, and with new images leaked online recently, the Chinese phone-maker might be in for something big.
Gizmo China has leaked several photos of the upcoming release and it looked impressive. According to the news outlet, the OnePlus 3 might also end up with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is an indication that the company is stepping up their game to another level to compete with other major makers.
The new leaked images show a whole new design of the company's flagship and it proved the previous rumors that the next line of the series is a complete revamp of its predecessor.
The Oneplus 3 looked slimmer than the previous model and it shows a curved glass with an apparent speaker grille located below that looks larger than normal. That might also be for a finger print sensor technology. The charging port can be seen at the bottom of the phone, which uses a USB Type C.
Reports also suggest that the new device will carry a 1920x1080-pixel resolution on a 5.5-inch HD screen. Aside from its Snapdragon 820 processor, the handset will run on a 4 GB of RAM. The powerful specs under its hood will be good for multi-tasking, which prevents the device from lagging.
The new camera technology also looked impressive as it is said to be sporting a 20 MP snapper, along with dual LED flash. The volume control of the device is quite visible on the side panel as well.
The new OnePlus 3 is expected to come out in the market in the second quarter of 2016, as announced by Pete Lau last month. Although no price has been confirmed yet, the OnePlus 3 CEO previously hinted that it will be more expensive than its predecessor.
