OnePlus 3T release date, news, specs rumors: Turbo OnePlus 3 to be released on Nov. 14?
Earlier this year, OnePlus has again released a new powerful handset with an impressive lineup of specs. The OnePlus 3 has the features and sophisticated design that match even those of Apple's iPhone 7 and Samsung's Galaxy S7 smartphones. However, as the competition heats up with every tech company's latest flagship iteration, OnePlus 3 needs to step up their game and launch an even more powerful variant.
For the past few weeks, there have been rumors that a new OnePlus 3 variant will be released soon. As reported by Yibada, the OnePlus 3T or the "Turbo" version of the current OnePlus 3 handset will be launched before the year ends. As the name suggest, the OnePlus 3T will be quite similar to the OnePlus 3T, except that some of its specs features will receive an upgrade. Specifically, the OnePlus 3T will boast a faster processor, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, BGR reported.
Moreover, the online publication reported that the OnePlus 3T will still sport the same aluminum body and OLED screen panel of the original variant, although the upcoming turbo variant will have a bumped-up core features. Aside from an upgrade from the Snapdragon 820 processor, the OnePlus 3T will have up to 6 GB RAM for the standard model.
According to Techno Buffalo, the OnePlus 3T may arrive as early as November 14, which is well within the target end of 2016 release date. Even though Qualcomm has already confirmed a more powerful Snapdragon 821 chipset for the OnePlus 3T, the OnePlus followers do not have to worry about the flagship killer becoming more expensive. It is still expected that the upcoming OnePlus 3 version will have a price not going above $500 for the base model.
Other possible specs upgrade that the OnePlus 3T will feature include the standard 128 GB internal storage capacity, a huge improvement from the OnePlus 3's 64 GB storage for its base model.
