OnePlus 4 release date, specs rumors: Device is rumored to have features that top the iPhone 7
Though the smartphone market is currently dominated by Samsung and Apple, tech enthusiasts have turned their heads on a new phone that came out this year, the OnePlus 3. Reception of the device was so good that some are already curious as to what the developers have in store for the OnePlus 4.
According to Tech Times, the device next in line in the OnePlus series will be sporting a Snapdragon 830 SoC chipset which will run at 3 GHz. The device is also said to come with 8 GB of RAM and it will have an expandable storage capacity of up to 128 GB. It will also have an Adreno 620 graphics card and a 4,200 mAh battery.
Aside from that, the device is also said to feature an improved camera with 24 MP on the back camera and 8 MP on the front camera. The 5.5-inch device is also said to feature a 2K resolution screen display. The phone is also expected to have dual sim slots and a wireless charging feature.
With these specs in line, some are even thinking that it could go up against phones like Apple's iPhone 7 and Samsung's Galaxy S7. With the massive recall that Samsung had to do with the Note 7, Apple is probably coming out ahead in the smartphone game — not to mention Google, who is also joining the fray with its Pixel and Pixel XL.
Will the OnePlus 4 get to battle its way to the top of the smartphone hierarchy? Users will just have to wait till it comes out.
No official release date has also been announced for the device, but some reports guess that the OnePlus 4 could likely come out in 2017. With the OnePlus 3 released in June this year, the OnePlus 4 could come by the middle of next year.
