'Outlander' season 3 spoilers: early season 4 prep ongoing? season 3 finale to make fans 'weep'
"Outlander" season 3 is yet to find its way to the small screen, but it looks like there are already preparations for a brand-new season.
Executive producer Matthew B. Roberts took to Twitter to tease fans about what kept him busy during the holidays, which turns out, included reading "Drums of Autumn," the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series.
"On the holiday break - looking out my window -reading 'Drums of Autumn' preparing for Outlander season 4 and writing the season 3 finale with Toni Graphia," Roberts tweeted.
For fans, it is too early to think about that at the moment as "Outlander" season 3 is currently the focus and the one to wait for. Thankfully, Roberts had something to say about the upcoming run of the time travel drama as well. "Here's what we are going to do... We are going to end season three with a super exciting and spine-tingling... never before," he teased.
In another tweet, he further talked about the "Outlander" season 3 finale and all the emotions that fans will go through when they witness it on screen.
"Hard to say how you'll react but you might weep laugh weep sigh, cheer, weep so more, smile, scream, weep. Oh yeah and weep," Roberts tweeted.
Filming for "Outlander" season 3 is still underway. The scenes set in the Caribbean, which are central to "Voyager," where the season is based, are yet to be filmed.
It is said that production could go on up to April, but fans should not worry about any droughtlander happening as it is believed that the first day of the said month will mark the return of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Catriona Balfe) to the small screen.
"Outlander" season 3 will begin with the couple separated by miles and years. There will be a brand-new set of characters to meet (and older or younger versions of others who fans saw before).
