'Outlander' season 3 updates: New on-set production photos at University of Glasgow leaked by fans
Production for "Outlander" season 3 is currently in full swing, and new on-set photos have been leaked online.
According to reports, the cast and crew of the historical drama were spotted filming at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. In an Instagram post, camera crew member Mike Edwards revealed a photo showing blue cranes being set up at the university. The cranes appear to be holding up a number of lights with screens covering windows. Another photo from an "Outlander" fan features a long shot of the same filming location, which is described as a "magical" place. For anyone doubting if it's the real location of the hit Starz program, another image shows a label on a bus that confirms it. A picture of the same bus parked near the filming location was also leaked online.
The cast and crew are certainly hard at work to finish season 3, as another fan photo shows the filming at the University of Glasgow continued even at night. One lucky fan even got the chance to walk around the "Outlander" set. Filming for the show began August 2016 in Scotland, and will later move production to Africa on 2017.
Earlier this month, two actresses were confirmed to join season 3: Hannah James and Tanya Reynolds. Portraying the roles of the Dunsany sisters, James was cast as geneva, while Reynolds will play Isobel. A headstrong and beautiful woman, Geneva is spoiled and demanding. Used to the sheltered life, she has become used to always getting everything she wants. However, it also gives her a certain level of vulnerability. Isobel, the younger of the two, is more likeable because of her compassionate character.
Reynolds recently wrapped up filming for her upcoming drama "Delicious," while James is seen portraying Emma green in the series "Mercy Street."
The third season of "Outlander" is expected to premiere April 2017 on Starz.
