It is usual for "Overwatch" to come out with a special theme to celebrate a special event. This holiday season, Blizzard is expected to release Christmas-themed items, which include new events, bonuses and skins.

Blizzard previously gave out new items during the "Overwatch" Summer Games and Halloween Terror, bringing new skins and characters that players have enjoyed. Blizzard will continue to keep rolling out new updates this holiday season, though it did not mention anything specific just yet.

The Christmas-themed event is the third among the two events. Scheduled to be released this week, players will be able to see two new heroes added to the "Overwatch" roster. Currently, 23 playable characters are included in the title with the recent Sombra and Ana joining the list.

PC Gamer wrote that alternate costumes are expected for the favorite characters, aside from an alternate weapon skins.

Meanwhile, avid players are keen about researching on the possible offers of the Christmas event. Most believe that the Christmas-themed event will be titled Winter Wonderland.

This was apparently sourced from Reddit players who discovered a GIF file spotted from the "Overwatch" group on VK, a social media site of Russia. The GIF file is labeled, "OW_WinterWonderland_Postcard-Facebook_RU_RU_640x459.gif," which gives a clue on the event's name.

A trailer also comes out today, according to the developer's press release. Blizzard has reportedly uploaded the trailer, and all other pertinent details of the event, on Dec. 1; however, those have not been accessible until this time.

Winter Wonderland may possibly have a new map and a new game mode. Players also found out that there will be some new character responses to be seen, but are not featured in the game. Though the responses are not directly associated with the Christmas event, it is obvious that they have never been heard before. Blizzard will have to announce further what the responses are for, and when they will come out.
