Pangu iOS 10 jailbreak release date, latest news & updates: hacker claims to release a new jailbreak tool, urged to partner with Pangu
After allegedly jailbreaking Apple's new iPhone 7 just a few weeks after it was released, hacker Luca Todesco now reveals that he will release a jailbreak tool for iOS 10.1.1.
Due to this new revelation, many of Todesco's followers urged him to reach out and collaborate with Pangu in light of the company's failure to catch up with recent Apple update developments. Todesco did not issue a statement about the matter yet.
Pangu's jailbreak tool is still slated for a 2017 release, which is still months away, and is facing yet another possibility of failing to catch up on a new iOS update.
Apple, on the other hand, promised to release a new iOS 10.2.2 update on December, so Pangu's 2017 jailbreak release might actually work for Apple device users — that is, if Apple won't be issuing another update for the next few months after the jailbreak tool.
In recent months, the mobile security company had been silent when it comes to jailbreak updates. The last known news from them was when they released the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool last August.
As with Todesco, his jailbreak tool for iOS 10.1 is not verified by a majority of other users as many are also cautioned not to install it as it may introduce security breaches to the system especially when unauthorized third-party apps are installed.
Many other hacking groups also claimed to have successfully jailbroken the new iOS 1.1.1, but Apple users should take caution as some are mostly untrusted sources.
Todesco took a screenshot of his jailbroken iPhone 7 last October, showing his screen running the Cydia App. This proved that Apple's security measures can still be breached, although the company is constantly issuing updates to invalidate these hacking measures.
Apple, so far, is also not taking any legal action against Pangu and other hackers who claim to have jailbroken iOS devices.
