'Persona 5' DLC update release date news 2016: Free Christmas DLC announced
A holiday-themed downloadable content (DLC) is coming to "Persona 5" in Japan on Dec. 21 in the form of a Christmas Costume Set.
This DLC will be offered for free and will include Santa outfits that will surely put the Phantom Thief members in holiday spirit.
Atlus is also doing a five-day campaign where all the DLCs and add-ons for "Persona 5" are offered with 55-percent discount. Costumes, BGM sets and many more should be a steal from Dec. 21 to Dec. 25.
The offer is only applicable for players in Japan as "Persona 5" was released there back in September. The game will not be released in North America and Europe until April next year.
In other news, a new character was introduced for "Persona 5." The newcomer is Haru Okumura and is seen in action in a new trailer for the game released by Atlus.
Haru Okumura is the rebellious daughter of a businessman who is "passionate member" of the Phantom Thieves. The official description for the character is as follows.
"Although she grew up with all the elegance and splendor that money could buy, it came at the cost of her freedom. A gilded cage is still a cage, and she grew up always being told what to do, how to think, and was raised to simply be an obedient girl. However, getting mixed up with the Phantom Thieves will help her learn how to break out and fly free. Codenamed Noir, Haru is a kind-hearted person who truly wants to change the world for the better and ensure that justice always prevails."
"Persona 5" was supposed to be released in North America and Europe on Feb. 14, but was delayed to April 4, 2017 to give Atlus more time to polish the game and make it a much better title that's worth the wait.
