'Pitch Perfect 2' Release Date, Cast News: Actress Rebel 'Fat Amy' Wilson Sacrifices Love For Her Career
Rebel Wilson, who plays "Fat Amy," easily stole many scenes in "Pitch Perfect," and if the trailer for "Pitch Perfect 2" is any indication, she would continue to do so in the sequel.
In a recent interview, the 29-year-old Australian comedian divulged that she has sacrificed love for her career. She said her work-related travels have contributed to the lack of romance in her life, adding that she doesn't believe in having a relationship when she's always traveling to other countries for work commitments.
She explained: ''At first I moved from Sydney to Melbourne, because most of the comedy was shot in Melbourne, and then from Melbourne to Los Angeles – and you have to sacrifice stuff. You have to sacrifice relationships because you work, and now I travel all around the world.''
''A few days ago I was in New York and in a few days I'm going to London to shoot. I'm constantly moving and constantly traveling and so it's really hard to maintain a relationship in that kind of environment,'' she said.
She also disclosed that even if she had a love life, she would be very tight-lipped about it because it would be one part of her life she would want to keep private. "You have to have some private stuff, and so I've never flaunted anything or talked about anybody. And also, because it's not that interesting," she told Australia's Elle magazine.
Wilson shot to fame in the U.S. after starring in the 2011 comedy "Bridesmaids" playing half of a brother-sister tandem (with Matt Lucas) who were the roommates of Annie Walker (Kristen Wiig), who eventually kicked her out.
Wilson now lives with her 'Bridesmaids' co-star Lucas in West Hollywood. But before anyone speculates about this pairing, Lucas is openly gay.
"Pitch Perfect 2," to be released on May 15, 2015, also stars Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, Adam DeVine, Hailee Steinfeld and Brittany Snow.
