'Pitch Perfect 3' premiere date, update: Anna Kendrick not appearing in third film?
"Pitch Perfect" fans have something to look forward to as the movie franchise will have a third installment. The question now though is when it will hit the big screen.
According to reports, "Pitch Perfect 3" is supposed to come in December 2017. However, other reports suggest that it may not meet its slated release date because of an alleged squabble between two main stars, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson.
Rumor has it that the two had a disagreement because Kendrick requested to have the schedule of production moved to another date due to her other commitments. Kendrick needs to allot time to promote her upcoming movie, "Table 19."
Meanwhile, Wilson refused to reschedule the start of shooting because she also needs to stay on track for her other projects. Nothing is confirmed but reports claim that Kendrick will drop her role if the tension is not resolved soon. This bodes ill for the fans since Kendrick is a fan-favorite as well as the lead star.
But another possible reason why Kendrick could leave "Pitch Perfect 3" is because of her jam-packed schedule. Reports say that she still has Dreamworks' "Trolls," wherein she will voice the pink-haired Poppy. She will also star in Ben Affleck's movie, "The Accountant."
Wilson was also previously reported to skip the third installment of the acapella-themed movie but it was eventually confirmed that she will be joining the cast along with co-star Brittany Snow.
Fans speculate that if Kendrick will leave the movie, Hailee Steinfeild will take over the lead spot and she will be partnered with a newcomer. Rumors also mentioned "High School Musical" lead star Vanessa Hudgens to join the cast. "Glee" star Lea Michele has also been speculated to appear in the film.
However, since nothing has been confirmed, fans will have to stay tuned to find out more updates for "Pitch Perfect 3. "
