The upcoming big event of Sony PlayStation on Sept. 7 is speculated by many to be the venue where the electronic gaming company will finally unveil PlayStation Neo in front of the public. There were a few missed opportunities over the past few months where Sony might have revealed the upcoming console, but it looks like the press event next month will finally show what the PS 4.5 Neo is made of.

The said press evet is going to take pace in New York, where Sony has invited many known tech enthusiasts to attend. It is not revealed if the event will showcase new device offerings from Sony, but the rumors are rife that the upcoming event called as the "PlayStation Meeting" will unveil the PlayStation Neo. According to Tech Crunch, the Sony press event on September will be a day to "share details about the PlayStation business," although it appears that this will be the same day the gamers have all been waiting for to see PS Neo for the first time.

Many were disappointed when Sony made no mention of the PlayStation Neo at the last Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 last June, and some have lost hope that the next console from Sony will still happen. However, Digital Foundry's engineering expert, Richard Leadbetter, noted that the PlayStation Neo's absence from the E3 event is nothing to be worried. In spite of the console being a no-show, Leadbetter said there is a chance that PS Neo will surprise everyone with its launching this 2016, Eurogamer reported.

"Several sources have indicated to me that PlayStation Neo launches this year, despite its E3 no-show. If that is the case, it'll be interesting to see how developers utilize its resources, and whether 4K really is the focus. And we can be equally as sure that Microsoft will be watching just as intently as it gears up for its own next-gen roll-out," Leadbetter said in a statement.

Likewise, Sony itself has confirmed way before the E3 began that PlayStation Neo is real, and they are targeting for its release within the coming months. It's just that many tech spectators expected that the company would be ready by then to unveil the device.
