According to a report by Chattsportsnet, Sony will increase the three and twelve month's subscription plans for PlayStation Plus effective on Sept. 22. According to the publication, Sony's plan to bring free AAA game titles to the program may have sparked the decision to increase the membership fee. This is the first time since the promotion was launched in 2010 that the company has decided to increase the price of the game service in U.S. and Canada.

"Starting on September 22, 2016, prices for PlayStation Plus memberships will change to $59.99 USD/ $69.99 CAD for twelve months and $24.99 USD/$29.99 CAD for three months," Sony stated on a blog post. "The monthly plan will change to $11.99 CAD in Canada, and remain $9.99 USD in the U.S. If you are a current member, the new prices will take effect if your membership renews on or after this date."

Meanwhile, according to Vine Report, Sony will start bringing in AAA game titles in next month's PlayStation Plus Free Games. There are speculations circulating all over the Internet suggesting that Sony might include "Watch Dogs" and "Killzone Shadow Fall" in the September list.

The first-person shooter video game, "Killzone Shadow Fall," is the sixth installment of the video game series developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

The open world action-adventure third-person shooter video game, "Watch Dogs," was developed and published by Ubisoft. It was released in May 2014 and its sequel is already scheduled to come out in November this year.
