'Pokemon Go' cheats, tips 2016: How to capture Pokemon without leaving house

"Pokemon Go" is undeniably the most popular mobile gaming app of today. It is actually a good way for the usual indoor players to set foot outside of their houses to enjoy the exciting features of Niantic Lab's latest augmented reality (AR) game. However, at times, players would feel that going outside of their homes is inconvenient, therefore many gaming experts are looking for ways to change the GPS settings to allow capturing of Pokemon even inside the house.

As reported by Game N Guide, there is one hack at the moment that deals with the phone's GPS settings. This hack is born out of some players' frustration over Niantic's recent "Pokemon Go" update. The latest update has removed the feature that alerts the players when a Pokemon is nearby. Therefore, they must need to go out of their house to catch Pokemon, even if they are not sure where to find them.

Thankfully, Stefan Kiese discovered a cheat that will allow the players to stay indoors and their phones will still be able to roam around and look for Pokemon. This cheat is called the "GPS spoofing" technique, which overrides the latest update that disabled the "nearby Pokemon" alerts. This cheat would require the HackRF Software Defined Radio or HackRF SDR which will alter the GPS location settings and simulate the players walking around even if they are just sitting down.

The HackRF One must first be paired with a GPS-SDR-SIM to enable this hack. The square wave signal must be set to 10MHz with 3Vpp. The A-GPS on the players' devices must also be disabled and switch the settings to local GPS tracking.

Many people will surely look for ways to improve their gaming experience to catch up with the old-timers. As of now, "Pokemon Go" has proven itself to be the most successful mobile app since it was released by Niantic in the United States on July 5, Sensor Tower reported. The game has over 75 million individual downloads among Android and Apple iOS users. It only took 19 days for the game to reach the record of 50 million downloads.
