"Pokemon Go" can go on great lengths just to track down their favorite Pokemon. Before, some people even tend to use third party programs to hack the game and easily track down their Pokemon of choice. Unfortunately for these people, Niantic Lab has figured out a way to keep these third party programs off the augmented reality (AR) mobile game. What's worse is that Niantic has started to permanently ban the accounts of people that were caught using the hacking programs.

The good news for those who are really after particular Pokemon is that they do not have to take the risk of getting banned from the game permanently when tracking them down. According to Yibada, there are ways to track down special Pokemon, specifically Dragonite, Snorlax and Lapras. The online publication cited the post of a Reddit user under the name SooperNoodle, who claims that players should no longer use web-based third party programs and log in to them using their "Pokemon Go" accounts.

SooperNoodle came up with a strategy called the Slingshot Trackin Method, where players only need to study the game's geometry and use 200m radius circles. When a Pokemon of their choice was in sighting, the players should walk backwards just a little to be at the edge of the circle. After taking note of this edge point, they should walk backwards for at least 20m and walk in a circle around the first noted point, going in both directions if possible. When another sighting comes up on the game, the players will now have two points on the edge of the circle. These will be used to draw a perpendicular line to the center point of the circle. With this, the Pokemon will be 200m down the line drawn. The Redditor claims that this method is 80 percent effective.

Yibada noted that this method works even for the Pokemon that are not usually found in some places. This method might be quite tedious, but the end results are satisfying and most importantly, there is no worry of having the player's account banned.
