'Pokémon Go' tips, guide 2016: How to use lure or incense the right way to spawn new rare Pokémon
"Pokémon GO" players who find Pokémon-searching tedious may opt to use lures or incense to have the little Pokémon coming after the players. However, there is a new tip for players that will suggest not to use too much of the lures just to make a Pokémon show up. It may be frustrating at times when an incense only attracts common Pokémon.
There is a tip being shared on the Pokémon Fanatics webpage which many players claim to be useful in capturing rare Pokémon such as Pikachu, Raichu, Kabutos, Squirtle, Blastoise, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Magmar, Primeape, Dugtrio, Ponyta, Growlithes, Zubat and Machap. Other Pokémon such as Ekans, Poliwag and Sandshrew are considered to be rare for some players, depending on their usual hangouts.
Nevertheless, the players need not waste too much incense just to spawn these rare finds. Incense and lures are often an effective way to spawn Pokémon, both rare and common, but the trick lies in where to use these special items.
There were tests, as noted in the website, in which the lures were used in isolated locations or those areas where the Global Positioning System (GPS) map is blank. When the incense was lit in these areas, the players were said to spawn rare Pokémon such as Pikachu, Raichu and Magmar. It is surprising that the players did not spawn the usual Pokémon such as Rattata and Pidgey, which most of the time clog the inventories of many players.
When the incense or lures were used on a beach, lakeside or national park where the place is not likely to have any rare Pokémon, the results are said to be the same. This suggests that the location of where the lures are used is important. However, one should note that not every player may have the same result so it is important to try it first for themselves.
"Pokémon Go" was only released last July, but it quickly turned out to become the most successful mobile gaming app at this moment. Sensor Tower reported that since the game was first released by game developer Niantic in North America last July 5, the app has been downloaded over 75 million times by Android and Apple iOS users. It now holds the record of the fastest app game to reach 50 million downloads in only 19 days.
