'Pokemon Sun' and 'Moon' news: 2 new Ultra Beasts revealed; Anime features different art style
"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are still both a few months away from their release date yet every week Nintendo gives more details about the new Alolan Pokemon. This week the creators of the "Pokemon" handheld franchise have revealed two new Ultra Beasts named UB-02 Absorption and UB-02 Beauty for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon".
First, there's UB-02 Absorption, an Ultra Beast exclusive for "Pokemon Sun" and then there's UB-02 Beauty, an Ultra Beast exclusive for "Pokemon Moon." The stats and moves of these Ultra Beasts haven't been revealed yet, but based on the video released by The Pokemon Company, it seems like players have to search high and low in a new adventure to find either of the two.
In other "Pokemon Sun" and "Moon" news, it seems like the new handheld installments are bringing in a tie-in animated series along with it. Polygon just recently reported about the new "Pokemon" show that The Pokemon Company announced this week on Japanese television. This time, it features an art style very much different from the classic "Pokemon" anime.
The new anime brings back Ash and Pikachu for a few more adventures but this time, the setting is in Alola. There are a lot of changes in terms of the drawings and design of the new anime. The art now has more fluid lines, larger eyes and thinner features for Ash and the rest of the human characters in the series.
However, while the art style features a more contemporary and anime-esque look for the new "Pokemon" television series, the change has resulted in mixed reviews from fans. Some feel that the new style suits the series much better than before while others remain skeptical about the change.
"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are slated for release on Friday, Nov.18 for the Nintendo 3DS.
