'Pokemon Sun and Moon' news 2016: Dialogue to include a Pokemon translator?
There is no definite information as of now regarding the much anticipated Pokemon augmented reality game called "Pokemon Sun and Moon." However, there are rumors suggesting that the upcoming game may include a Pokemon translator which where the players can directly know what the Pokemons are saying.
The current director of the upcoming games, Junichi Masuda, had once mentioned that the fans will finally know the meaning of everything the Pokemons are saying in the game. He said that the Pokemon fans can expect the Pokemon translator in the future titles of the Pokemon game franchise. He talked about the Pokemon translation feature in an interview with Nintendo Life a few years ago, reported recently by the news website Yibada.
In the interview, he revealed that he was planning to incorporate this feature in that year's latest Pokemon games, "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y." The translator was described to flash an instant translation every time a Pokemon is trying to communicate with the player.
He said that the idea of a translator suddenly crossed his mind, and the feature almost made its way into the games. However, it did not push through with "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" in 2013.
Masuda also revealed that the Pokemon translating machine is likely to appear in the future installments of the game, probably in 2016 or beyond. As Masuda is also behind the upcoming "Pokemon Sun and Moon," and the expected release of the game coincides with the year the director had previously mentioned, many fans believe that the said translator feature will indeed appear in "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
Design & Trend reported that one of the main reasons that the Pokemon translating machine did not make it in the earlier Pokemon games is that there are more than 600 unique Pokemons that should be provided with lengthy translations. It would be a hard feat to incorporate all translations for each Pokemon, and more time would be needed in order to finish this feature.
