Dartrix, Torracat, and Brionne are the first evolutions for the starter Pokemon in the upcoming "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" | Official website for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon"

A new trailer for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" revealed the first evolutions for Rowlet, Litten and Popplio, the three starter Pokemon in the upcoming role-playing video games.

Since "Pokemon Sun and Moon" were confirmed almost half a year ago, Pokemon fans have been mulling over which version of the video games to get and which among the starter Pokemon is the best companion to start their journeys wth.

The decision-making process has become a tad easier with the unveiling of Dartrix, Torracat and Brionne, the first evolutionary forms for the starter Pokemon.

Dartrix is the first evolution of the Grass-type Rowlet. The giggling Pokemon, who has a habit of flipping its hair back, is said to have a "certain snobbiness" and vanity. According to Dartrix's official description, this Pokemon is constantly grooming its feathers.

However, Dartrix is also "a bit of a birdbrain, with a tendency to bungle things up." This Pokemon often desperately covers up its mistakes and usually ends up with an even bigger mess.

Torracat, the first evolution of the Fire-type Litten, attacks using the flames coming out of what looks like a bell attached to its neck, just like a real cat. The official description for Torracat indicates that the bell-like object is actually a flame sac, which is an organ that emits flames. The organ's temperature rises and falls with Torracat's emotions. When the flame sac produces flames, it also rings like a bell.

Brionne, the first evolutionary form of the Water-type Popplio, is described as cheery, positive, and a hard worker. According to its official description, "Even when it's feeling sad, this Pokemon doesn't allow its sorrow to show." Popplio only reveals its sadness to trainers or other Pokemon to whom it has completely opened its heart.

Brionne is a dancer and learns its routines by imitating those of other members of the colony. It can also learn from humans. Brionne produces balloons as it dances and uses these balloons to attack enemies during battle.

Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that a demo for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Kotaku noted that the demo will introduce the Pokemon Ash-Greninja, which will accompany players during the demo.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" comes out Nov. 18 for the Nintendo 3DS.
