'Pokemon Sun and Moon' tips, guides, news: How to evolve new types of Pokemon
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" have been released recently in some regions of the world and have already been receiving positive reviews. Within the game, some players are still wondering how to evolve other Pokémon since they cannot transform by just simply leveling them up. There are specific ways to do it depending on what kind of Pokémon the player wants to evolve.
IGN has compiled ways on how to evolve the new creatures in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." One example is Salandit, a poison type Pokémon. It will evolve to Salazzle once it has reached level 33. Another requirement is for it to be a female. Nothing will happen if Salandit is a male.
As for Steenee, it can evolve into Tsareena, but it must learn the move called Stomp which she can learn at level 29. Meanwhile, Fomantis can only evolve to Lurantis once it has reached level 34 during daytime. Another creature that will only evolve during the daytime is Yungoos and it will transform to Gumshoos when it is already level 20.
There are some Pokémon that will require more effort to evolve, such as Type: Null. It will only evolve into Silvally once its affection towards the trainer has been maxed out. This can only be done via Pokémon Refresh. In order to increase its affection faster, the trainer should give the type of Malasada it wants.
There are also methods on how to acquire the Alola form from the first generation of Pokémon. Alolan Sandshrew would only be able to evolve with an Ice Stone. Once evolved, Alolan Sandslash would not be able to learn any more moves by levelling up. In order to obtain an Alolan Persian, the trainer should raise the affection of Alolan Meowth towards him or her. After this has been done, the player should level up Alolan Meowth.
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" has already been released in North America on November 18 and it will still be launched in Europe on Nov. 23.
