A new trailer from The Pokemon Company revealed details about the latest in the Nintendo monster-catching role-playing game franchise, "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

These updates include two new legendaries, Solgaleo and Lunala; the new gameplay which confirmed the starter Pokemon (Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio) and the new region known as Alola, where the game will take place; and a Pokedex occupied by Rotom. In addition, fans are reintroduced to the hot, new trainer, Professor Kukui, his assistant Lillie, and the new Alola friend, Hau. The abilities and features of the new legendaries are also revealed.

Solgaleo from the Sun box has a Full Metal Body ability as a Psychic- and Steel-type. The ability protects the legendary from having its stats lowered. Solgaleo also sports a new move called Sunsteel Strike. On the other hand, Lunala comes from the Moon box and carries the Shadow Shield ability which allows minimal damage taken on from Pokemon attacks during full HP. Lunala executes a new move, known as the Moongeist Beam. The two new moves, Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam, disregards the abilities of Pokemon being struck.

The Rotom is an inhabitant of the Pokedex that is a ghost-like Pokemon character with the ability to possess objects and machinery. The Pokemon Company says of the Rotom, "It does much more than record Pokémon info — it sparkles with its own personality."

The Rotom tells the players where he is as well as his next destination. It helps the player in his search for Pokemon by providing suggestions on where to search next. It talks to the player and gives advice by keeping tabs on the conversations the player has with other monster catchers. The Rotom also keeps records of the player's goings-on. It is a very useful companion during all monster-catching adventures to be had.

The trailer also provided another opportunity to know Professor Kukui who gave a clue as to what is in store for players in the new Alola: lots and lots of rare Pokemon to be caught!

The game will also give the player the ability to detect Pokemon through a QR code by displaying a location marker to show where it can be caught. The QR code can be shared with other players.

The much anticipated RPG is set for release for Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18 and 23 in the United States and the United Kingdom, respectively.
