'Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World' latest news: Nintendo releases video for title; Yarn Poochy amiibo details revealed
"Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World" is slated for a Feb. 2017 release, but details about it have been scarce still. Good thing, Nintendo released a promo video so that more players will be more interested in checking it out.
Aside from the video, Nintendo also announced several game modes of "Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World," aside from the functions of the amiibo. The title will be released as a port of the Nintendo Wii U, but the 3DS version has a lot of perks for the users.
This includes all the Poochy pups so that players can help Yoshi search for the hidden areas and items across the six worlds of the title. Players will also get to have their own Yarn Poochy amiibo, which will bring support for Yoshi at every stage.
The amiibo is also capable of unlocking the timed challenge, which will reward the players with new designs for the character, but they would have to complete the missions first.
There are also other amiibo features that will function with "Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World," which include the "Splatoon" and "Animal Crossing." These will allow the gamers to enjoy new patterns for Isabelle, Tom Nook, Marie or Callie. iDigital Times noted that other amiibo figures can function with the game as well. In fact, Nintendo encourages the players to tap every one of the figures and see Yoshi's transformations.
Speaking of transformation, an all-new Craft Yoshi mode allows the players to customize their own Yoshi pattern with tools. Using the Nintendo 3DS touchscreen, players can design Yoshi and can share the design via StreetPass.
There is also one animated short story starring Poochy and Yoshi, which will be unlocked daily for 30 days.
"Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World" will be released on Feb. 3 with a retail price of $49.99. The Yarn Poochy amiibo, on the other hand, is available for $16.99.
