Portland Trail Blazers trade rumors 2016: Blazers eyeing Love move?

As they try to continue improving, the Portland Trail Blazers are seemingly turning to a recent NBA champion to help them against their rivals in the Western Conference.

Blazers Edge opened up with the possibility of Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love moving to Oregon to play for the Blazers.

Love recently won the NBA championship with the Cavaliers but was not as big of a player as expected en route to the championship.

At times, Love was seen as out of place with the Cavaliers, and this occurred even off the court when the team would fool around and Love is not found in the photo.

However, many still believe that Love is still an elite big man who can stretch the floor and shoot from the outside while rebounding from both ends of the floor.

Another article proposed the trade and suggested the players that could move in order for the Blazers to gain Love.

Blazers big men Noah Vonleh, Ed Davis and Al-Farouq Aminu are the names linked with a move away from Portland as they try to strike a deal with the Cavs for Love.

This would remove some depth in the forward position for the Blazers, but they will get an elite big man who can do all that the other plays could.

It is also tough to deny that Love posts good numbers as he averaged 16.0 points last season while shooting 42 percent from the field.

He also averaged 9.9 rebounds per game which would ensure any team he is playing for that he will help get more chances with the ball with his hustle and strength.

It is difficult to deny what Love brings to the table, and the Blazers already have a great backcourt with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, so adding Love would only make them better and even more dangerous than they already are.
