Lionsgate has recently launched a new trailer for the upcoming movie "Power Rangers."

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the latest trailer of the movie features Red Ranger Jason (Dacre Montgomery), Blue Ranger Billy (RJ Cyler), Yellow Ranger Trini (Becky G), Black Ranger Zack (Ludi Lin), and Pink Ranger Kimberly (Naomi Scott), who are all given unbelievable powers. Guided by Zordon (Bryan Cranston), all five rangers are tasked to defend the world against Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) and her minions.

"The answer to what is happening to you is here. You five are the Power Ranger," Zordon tells the Rangers, as seen in the trailer. "The Power Rangers were a legion of warriors. You must become those warriors," he went on to say.

Other familiar characters from the "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" TV series also appeared in the latest trailer of the "Power Rangers" reboot film. Aside from Zordon, the new Rangers will also be aided by Alpha 5 (Bill Hader), a happy robot known for his "ai-yi-yi" catchphrase. One of Rita Repulsa's minions, Goldar, can also be seen in the trailer.

According to the film's official synopsis, Saban's "Power Rangers" follows the story of five ordinary high school kids who is pushed into the path of the extraordinary when they learned that their small town of Angel Grove and the rest of the world are on the verge of complete obliteration because of an alien threat.

As fate would have it, the teenagers soon discover that they are the only ones who possess the power to save the planet from the powerful threat. In order to have a chance to succeed before it's too late, they must overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers.

The upcoming "Power Rangers" movie is directed by Dean Israelite and is written by John Gatins, Burk Sharpless, Matt Sazama, Zack Stentz, Ashley Miller, and Max Landis. The film is produced by "Power Rangers" creator Haim Saban, Brian Casentini, Wyck Godfrey, and Marty Bowen.
