'Power Rangers' release date, news: Rangers and Zords featured in new teaser photo
The new "Power Rangers" reboot movie has been a long time coming, but now that the Zords have finally been featured in a poster of their own, there is no more doubt that this movie is happening and it is happening very soon.
Following the recent release of the official trailer for the movie, famous movie outfit Lionsgate also shared a brand new promotional poster featuring the colossal bio-mechanical robot companions of the Rangers known as the Zords.
Comingsoon.net has gathered all previously and newly released promotional photos in a single gallery for fans to check out before the actual movie officially launches. One of the images is a poster featuring the Rangers alongside their Zords, seemingly caught in mid-battle. The trailer also reveals, without a doubt, that these gigantic war machines will be morphing together themselves to form the mighty humanoid robot known as the Megazord.
"Power Rangers" is the story of five ordinary teenagers from Angel Grove who have stumbled upon a mysterious alien power that transforms them into armored superheroes. They will train and fight evil alien forces under the guidance of the formless galactic sage, Zordon, and will gradually learn the truth that great power really does come with great responsibilities.
The upcoming movie is a reboot of the popular live-action superhero series that aired in the 1990s. This current day reimagining was written by John Gatins and directed by Dean Israelite. It features young talents Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin, R.J. Cyler, and Becky Gomez as the titular superheroes. Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks are also on board, playing the arch rivals Zordon and Rita Repulsa, respectively.
Meanwhile, ENSTARZ reported that the recently released poster of the Rangers with their Zords features a Snapcode that can be seen in the lower-left part of the image. This will allegedly unlock the Power Rangers lens on Snapchat and allow users to become the Red Ranger.
