The Liars find themselves in hot mess once again not only because Mona is meddling with their affairs again but also because someone seems to know the truth behind Elliot's death.

In the third episode of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 titled "The Talented Mr. Rollins," the girls found out the truth behind Elliot Rollins (Huw Collins), so they decided to sneak into Ali's (Sasha Pieterse) house to gather pieces of evidence they can use against Elliot.

Elliot, realizing that the girls have learned the truth, drove off with Ali to find them. However, Ali jumped off the road and took off into the forest with Elliot chasing behind her. In an effort to save their friend, the girls accidentally ran him down, killing him instantaneously.

Naturally, the Liars decided to keep it a secret and looked for somewhere to bury Elliot's body. Nevertheless, the promo clip for the upcoming episode titled "Hit and Run, Run, Run" seemed to imply that the Liars would be facing the consequences of their actions. Check out the synopsis below, as shared by Carter Matt.

"The PLLs desperately attempt to cover up their secret, and in turn, end up straining their relationships with their respective bed buddies by keeping them in the dark. While the aftermath of Haleb's kiss weighs on Spaleb's relationship, Spencer copes in ways she might later regret. Mona intervenes with the cover-up plan, for better or worse."

Apparently, in the Liars' efforts to keep everything a secret, their individual personal relationships will be affected. There's also the threat of an intervening Mona (Janel Parrish), whom fans know as one of the ultimate thorns in the Liars' path. Apparently, she knows about the cover-up plan and is very much against it. The synopsis also seemed to hint of a huge relationship drama unfolding between Hanna, Caleb, and Spencer.

One of the promo trailers for the fourth episode shows that someone else other than the girls knows about Elliot's death. Even if the death was due to an accident, the Liars might have a hard time justifying the murder, especially if the other person who knows the truth has some sinister plans up his sleeves.

Will the Liars be spending time in prison? Will they continue lying about Elliot's accidental death? Is Elliot really dead?

Those and other questions will hopefully be answered in "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 episode 4 titled "Hit and Run, Run, Run," which will air on July 12 at 8 p.m. on Freeform. Meanwhile, check out the promo trailer for the said episode below.
