Prince Harry, Meghan Markle dating news: has a meeting taken place between Meghan and Prince William, Kate Middleton?
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's new girlfriend, reportedly met Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge during her recent visit to London.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, royal expert Katie Nicholl said that the American actress was introduced to Prince Harry's older brother and sister-in-law in Kensington Palace.
"My sources tell me that Meghan did get to meet William and Kate," Nicholl said. "But sadly, there wasn't enough time to meet Prince Charles," she added.
Meghan was in London for a short visit last week and was even snapped shopping at Whole Foods in Kensington High Street, close to Prince Harry's residence. This visit was taken by many as proof that Meghan and Prince Harry's relationship is indeed serious.
Prior to the "Suits" cast member's London visit, Prince Harry flew to Canada, where Meghan lives while filming "Suits," and spent a week with her. While the couple has reportedly made numerous trips to be with each other over the last few months, they have yet to be seen together in public.
Meghan is reportedly currently back in Toronto but is on hiatus from "Suits" until January. Nicholl said that the actress and Prince Harry might not be reunited for a while, what with the royal having just launched a 14-day tour of the Caribbean. Nonetheless, she added that the two will definitely spend the holidays together.
"My sources are telling me that as soon as he is back, they will see each other," Nicholl said. "One thing is for sure, this is definitely a couple that cannot bear to be apart for long," she continued.
Prince Harry confirmed his relationship with Meghan in a statement last week, in which he condemned the media for their harassment of his girlfriend. In light of the stalking, threats, and racist and sexist comments Meghan had to endure over the last several weeks, the man fifth in line to the British throne is said to be considering getting a bodyguard for his girlfriend.
The Daily Mail reported that the royal intends on paying for a personal bodyguard for Meghan and could hire a retired member of Scotland Yard's royal protection squad.
