On his ongoing tour of the Caribbean, Prince Harry became the recipient of a most awkward offer.

According to The Telegraph, during a speech made in his honor, the fifth in line to the British throne was invited by Antiguan Prime Minister Gaston Browne to spend his honeymoon in the country.

"I believe we are expecting a new princess soon," Browne told the prince during a VIP reception. "I want you to know that you are very welcome to come on your honeymoon here," he added.

The Telegraph reported that Prince Harry looked uncomfortable after this comment, which was followed by another tease from the Antiguan prime minister about the prince and the country's beauty queens. "Whatever is done here, stays here," Browne said. "So do not worry," he continued.

The official's comment about a honeymoon was obviously in reference to Prince Harry's recent confirmation of his months-long relationship with American actress Meghan Markle, who stars in the legal drama "Suits." The couple's relationship has been in the headlines for the last several weeks, with paparazzi reportedly doing all they can to get the scoop on the royal's new romance.

The stalking, racist comments and threats to Markle's safety as a result of the paparazzi following her around led to the prince releasing a rare statement earlier this month. In the statement released by Kensington Palace, Prince Harry called out the media for their harassment of his new girlfriend.

During the party held for Prince Harry at Barnacle Point in Antigua, the royal presented the prime minister with an album of pictures of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, during her visit to the country in 1977.

Meanwhile, this week, Markle wrote an essay about her struggle to balance her philanthropic pursuits with her Hollywood fame.

In the essay, which was published by Elle U.K., Markle recalled the emotional disconnect she felt going to a glitzy awards show after returning from a visit to a refugee camp in Rwanda.

"My brain, heart and spirit couldn't shift gears that quickly, from the purpose-driven work I had been doing all week in Rwanda to the polished glamour of an awards show," the actress wrote.

"With fame comes opportunity, but it also includes responsibility — to advocate and share, to focus less on glass slippers and more on pushing through glass ceilings," she added.
