During its panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday, July 24, Fox's "Prison Break" debuted a new trailer for its highly anticipated reboot.

The previously unreleased clip showed Michael (Wentworth Miller) chatting with a fellow inmate at the Moroccan prison from which he will be attempting to escape in the limited-series event.

In the new trailer, Michael obtains a stick of gum from the inmate and tells him that the gum, like a butterfly's wings, will set off a sequence of events that will finish on the other side of the world.

The upcoming reboot, which is based on the Fox serial drama that first aired in 2005, was first announced in January. It will bring together most of the original series' main cast, including Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, and Rockmond Dunbar.

Meanwhile, though "Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring has previously stated that "Prison Break" will only be back for the nine-episode limited event and no more, Miller recently said that, given a worthwhile story, he is open to reprising his role in future installments of the series.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly during the Comic-Con on Saturday, the actor said, "If the story was worth telling — that's the only reason I signed up to this nine-episode reboot."

"We want to do something that's going to stand beside what came before," he explained. "If we can't do it right, best not to do it at all. So if Fox or Paul Scheuring or whoever came to me and said, 'We have another idea for another installment beyond this one,' I'd be interested in listening."

The possibility of another "Prison Break" installment would most likely hinge on Miller's participation, as the upcoming reboot did.

During the "Prison Break" panel at Comic-Con, Purcell, who co-stars with Miller in the crime/adventure drama, spoke about how the idea for the reboot came about. According to the actor, it was borne out of his reunion with Miller in the superhero series "The Flash."

"We got on set, and it was just like we hadn't been apart for all these years..." Purcell recounted. According to the actor, he and Miller then approached the show's producers with the idea for a revival. However, he credited his co-star for the reboot, saying, "The greenlight essentially came from Wentworth."

"Prison Break" season 5 will debut in 2017 on Fox.
