'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers, release date news: no premiere date yet; role of Sara's new husband teased
"Prison Break" season 5 will premiere in spring next year, but it looks like FOX is yet to land on a specific release date for the revival series.
"We still don't have an official airdate. Believe me, as soon as I get the all-clear, you'll be the first people I tell," the writers of the show tweeted out.
To help fans get by, they answer questions that fans have about "Prison Break" season 5, including the characters to expect in the new season of the hit series.
It is revealed that Jacob (Mark Feuerstein), the husband of Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) likes "old-fashioned traditions" and will be the one to expect preparing the Christmas dinner.
Not much is known about him though. It is unknown what he will be up to in "Prison Break" season 5 and whether or not he will be a friend or a foe.
The writers teased a few months back what role Jacob will play in the series. "I feel like you guys aren't gonna give Jacob a chance. It's not his fault he had to follow Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller)," the writers teased in a tweet.
This suggests that Jacob knows very well about his wife's past. More importantly, he knows that he is not as dead as his family believes he is.
It will be interesting to know in "Prison Break" season 5 his motives in going after Michael. It is unclear at the moment if he will help in his escape although many believe he will make sure he rots in Yemen.
Meanwhile, the writers also teased that "Prison Break" season 5 will have new characters and new relationships that fans would love to explore across the nine episodes of the limited series.
Fans will meet a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) character whom Michael will also help escape, while the drama will also introduce the daughter of C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar).
