"Rainbow Six Siege" recently received its last content update for the year, which is known as "Operation Red Crow." Right after the downloadable content (DLC) expansion was released, players were quick to note that the new addition carried with it some problems — most especially the playing of the new character, Hibana, causes for the game to freeze once her gadget is used.

Through a patch update, Ubisoft decided to withdraw the character for now and included the removal of the newly implemented vote-kick feature, because they saw that many players are abusing the feature especially in ranked matches in which penalties are high.

"Since its implementation, we have noticed abuse of the vote to kick feature, especially in ranked matches where there is a stiff penalty," the game developers explained. "While we are still looking at other ways to implement a system that will allow for a more pleasant player experience, we found it necessary to remove this feature in ranked for the short term," Ubisoft added through a forum.

The vote-kick feature is temporarily removed in ranked matches, but it still remains under the Casual match mode. "We are increasing the number of votes required for a Vote Kick to pass depending on the size of the grouped and un-grouped members," Ubisoft explained.

Along with the patch update are several gameplay fixes, player experience fixes, game mode fixes and others. It is known as the patch 5.1 update, and it has already been available to every platform since Tuesday, Nov. 22.

The "Operation Red Crow" DLC added two new operators from Japan named Hibana and Echo. It also includes a new map called Skyscraper, adds new weapon skins and a few customization packs for Elite sets that include a matching uniform and headgear.

"Rainbow Six Siege" is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
