'Rainbow Six Siege' PS4, Xbox One, and PC News: Perks Await Those Who Pre-Order 'Art of Siege' Collector's Edition
"Rainbow Six Siege" from Tom Clancy has revealed its collector's edition dubbed "Art of Siege" and it is already available for pre-ordering. The game will be launched later this year for the PS 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Details about the collector's edition of the game were provided by Ubisoft, the game makers.
Ubisoft said customers who pre-order the game on the Uplay Shop will get several perks. These include Gold Skins for weapons, a detailed tactical guide extending over 120 pages describing all Counter Terrorist Units in addition to operators, maps and weapons.
Ubisoft also announced that those who pre-order the physical version of the game on a disc will also be included in the game's beta edition later this year. In addition they will get a numbered "steelbook."
The announcement of the collector's edition and perks for those who pre-ordered the game was followed by Ubisoft demonstrating the game to interested gamers and the press in a two-hour live stream event.
As for the game itself, for the first time franchise players will be able to participate in sieges. In these sieges they can either be the enemy entrenched in strongholds reinforced with walls, mines, barbed wire and shields, or they can be part of the Rainbow Six team which assaults and tries to breach the strongholds with the aid of drones for observation, sheet charges and by rappelling into the locations.
"Rainbow Six Siege" has been getting good press since it was revealed last year. Many fans have expressed amazement at the large number of unique sieges, which take place anywhere from planes to buildings. Making the game more interesting are the fast pace at which each siege progresses and the intense firefights in the game where players have to make quick decisions on how to handle a siege or an impending breach if they want to survive.
