'Real Housewives of Atlanta' News: Rumors of an Affair; Alleged Social Media Sniping Ahead of Season 7
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" stars are on a controversial roll in the days leading to Season 7's debut on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
At the top of keeping fans entertained and interested while the reality show still isn't back on air is Phaedra Parks and her "Chocolate," supposedly an African who happens to be a rich businessman, whom Phaedra was exchanging texts with, and who was being pointed to as one of the reasons complicating Phaedra's divorce from Apollo Nida.
However, Media Takeout, a celebrity gossip site, debunked this, and reported that the "Chocolate" in question was actually Phaedra's best friend Monique Williams, formerly an exotic dancer, whose performing name was "Whyte Chocolate."
Just the same, tongues have been wagging frantically that Cynthia Bailey allegedly took a swipe online at Phaedra over this in social media, if one of her recent Instagram posts would be taken as the basis.
In the said post, which featured a photo of a Gremlin from the movie of the same name, Cynthia wrote the following as a caption: "Fun Fact: Did u know that gremlins have uncontrollable cravings for chocolate?"
With Phaedra's chocolate brouhaha in mind, it's not rocket science to suppose that Cynthia was calling Phaedra a "gremlin."
The reputed animosity between the two RHoA stars apparently took off after a guesting by Phaedra on Ellen, where Phae, in playing a word-association game, connected Cyn with the word "lapdog." It's been assumed that that was the reason why Cynthia retaliated through that social media swipe.
Whatever it is, the controversy sparks the fires of interest for RHoA Season 7. Great going, publicity-wise!
