'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date news 2016: Latest 'Red Dead' sequel to be teased this August?
If the rumors are anything to go by, the fans of the highly popular "Red Dead" video game series shall watch out for the month of August. It is because the much anticipated "Red Dead" game sequel is expected to be announced by Rockstar Games this month. It has been a while since the game developer company updated the "Red Dead" series, and many believe that it is high time for Rockstar to release the follow-up story of "Red Dead Redemption."
Games Debate reported that the "Red Dead Redemption 2" is going to be announced officially by Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive at the Gamescom 2016 event in Germany this August. The Gamescom is a huge event and it could also be the fitting the stage to unveil a highly anticipated game title such as "Red Dead Redemption 2." Moreover, it appears that Take Two Interactive, which stands as the official distributor of the "Red Dead" game series, is confirmed to participate in the event.
It can be recalled that Rockstar Games did not present "Red Dead Redemption 2" during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 last June. For some reason, the company decided not to push through with the introduction of the game, and many fans at the moment are now counting on the upcoming Gamescom to get the latest updates for the sequel. It should be noted, however, that neither Rockstar Games or Take Two Interactive has given the confirmation of a new sequel coming up this year. The fans must take the recent reports cautiously.
Meanwhile, there are other reports suggesting that Rockstar has still not thought of a fitting game title for the next "Red Dead" sequel. Fans refer to the upcoming sequel as "Red Dead Redemption 2" following the success of the current title of the franchise, "Red Dead Redemption." There are some who believe that sequel must be a direct follow-up of the "Red Dead Redemption" and continue its story.
