For the past several years, there have been rumors that Rockstar Games was already working on the much awaited "Red Dead Redemption" sequel. At some point, there were people doubting the existence of another "Red Dead" installment, but the game studio itself spilled the info when they announced the Fall 2017 release of the "Red Dead Redemption 2." The players can expect the "Red Dead Redemption 2" to be playable in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, although there is a real possibility that the new game title from Rockstar will also get a PC version.

Another interesting rumor regarding the "Red Dead Redemption 2" is that the sequel will be playable on the latest Nintendo Switch. As reported by Yibada, the "Red Dead Redemption 2" beig ported to the Nintendo Switch sounds like a good idea, especially that Nintendo's latets gaming gadget is well-received by the players, plus the anticipation of the fans for the next "Red Dead" title has grown bigger.

The "Red Dead Redemption 2" on Nintendo Switch may sound interesting at this point, but there are other people skeptical about this scenario happening at all. The online publication also noted Wedbush securities analyst Michael Pachter, saying that it will not be easy to have a Nintendo Switch version for the "Red Dead Redemption 2."

Pachter cited the Nintendo Switch being different from today's mainstream console devices as one of the reasons why Rockstar Games will not make the "Red Dead Redemption 2" playable in the Switch. Game N Guide also reported that Nintendo may not yet have enough technology for the Nintendo Switch to support a highly advanced game such as the "Red Dead Redemption 2."

On the other hand, the planned open world setting for the "Red Dead Redemption 2" is also seen as one of the reasons why the game cannot be made playable in Nintendo Switch. If Rockstar aims to make the upcoming "Red Dead" installment with a more open world gameplay, the game would require a number of huge spaces to capture everything in one frame. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch lacks the needed space due to its limited screen panel size, iTech Post reported.
