'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date news 2016: Sequel to come out with PS4 Neo?

Red Dead Redemption 2 | Rockstar Newswire

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is definitely one of the most talked about rumors in the video gaming industry today. The upcoming title has been a subject of numerous contradicting reports online with regard to its development and release date. Previous reports suggested that the second installment of the open world, western action-adventure video game was supposed to be announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 back in June. However, due to a shooting incident prior to the event, game developer Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive had allegedly pulled out the game from their presser. Now, new reports have emerged suggesting that the game will be released alongside PlayStation 4 Neo.

According to a report by Mobile & Apps, a source has revealed that the second title of the franchise is said to be launched alongside Sony's new console. If rumors prove to be true, there is a big possibility that the development of "Red Dead Redemption 2" has already started.

As of the moment, the game developer has continued to stay mum with regard to the long-rumored release of the title. However, the company has been known to keep quiet prior to releasing major titles and updates. Games such as GTA 4 and GTA 5 were not launched during big events.

It has already been declared by Rockstar CEO Strauss Zelnick that "Red Dead Redemption" is a permanent franchise, which means that the game did not end on its first title. However, nobody can really confirm when the second installment will come out in the market.

Meanwhile, Ecumenical News reported that Rockstar Games has already started working on the project for quite some time now. Nevertheless, the company could not verify these reports.

As of the moment, fans will have to wait for concrete details to come out soon. These rumors and speculations must be taken with a grain of salt until Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive release an official statement.
