"Red Dead Redemption 2" is expected to finally be announced today at the PlayStation Meeting. Although there's no confirmation about that yet, there is already a huge buzz surrounding it.

It is believed that the game is already ready, and that developer Rockstar Games is just waiting for the right time to make it official, and the said PlayStation Meeting (Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. ET) might just be it.

Rumor has it that it was cut from the Sony presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, although this was already denied by the company.

If this is accurate, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is ready for its unveiling, which is why it is believed this will actually happen at the PlayStation Meeting in New York.

The event is expected to focus on the PlayStation Neo although some reports say that Sony will throw in a reveal of two with regards to the "Red Dead" franchise.

There are reports that a remastered version of "Red Dead Redemption" will be announced there as well as a personal computer (PC) version of the hit western shooter released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Up until now, though, Rockstar and Sony are yet to give their word about "Red Dead Redemption 2" or the existence of a possible remastered version of the original.

Just recently, Rockstar took the first step in making the blockbuster game available to the Xbox One through the Xbox One Backward Compatibility Support.

PlayStation 4 players were clearly unhappy being left out, but if the rumors are to be believed, Sony will announce a remastered version of "Red Dead Redemption" so that players of current-generation consoles could experience the game.

Meanwhile, tons of leaks and reports about "Red Dead Redemption 2" continue to hit the internet as the gaming world awaits the arrival title.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, fans know that it will arrive considering the fact that the 2010 game was a massive success and that Rockstar has already declared the series as a "franchise" the same way "Grand Theft Auto" is.
