New details have been revealed about "Reign" season 4. For the final season of the hit historical drama, there are tons of things to expect such as reunions and major revelations.

The upcoming season will finally see Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Catherine (Megan Follows) unite again now that the former is headed to Scotland in "Reign" season 4.

In an interview with Melty (French), Kane revealed that Catherine will make a trip to Scotland in "Reign" season 4, but she played coy as to what brings the character there. She was excited about the prospect of working with Follows again.

"She comes to Scotland so we could work together for some scenes, which was very nice. But I really miss not working with her because she is such a good actress and I feel like I have always learned so much at her side," the actress gushed, as per the translation of a fan with the Twitter handle NotDoneAbusingU.

Kane also advised fans to brace themselves for more deaths in "Reign" season 4. Thankfully, the actress did not mean this in a literal sense.

"There are new deaths... I would say that there is not as much as in season 3," Kane said, referring to the heartbreaking death of her character's husband, Francis (Toby Regbo) in the previous season.

"And also may not always be literal death, but the 'death' of romantic relationships, the 'death' of friendships, the 'death' of political alliances. So there will still be many deaths, but it is not as devastating as in the season 3," she went on to say.

Nevertheless, her answer suggests that old allies will become enemies and romance will be a fleeting thing come "Reign" season 4.

As for the new characters coming in, namely Lord Darnley played by Will Kemp and Bothwell played by Adam Croasdell, Kane said that they would have been further explored in season 5 should the show have been renewed.

Mary's next husband in "Reign" season 4 will be Darnley, which Kane described as "the little dirty boyfriend you want to hate but you love anyway." As for Bothwell, she said, "he becomes a friend and confidant and helps me through a difficult time."

Kane also said that her character will be a mother in the new season and will give birth to the future King James.

"Reign" season 4 premieres Friday, Feb. 10, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
