With the ongoing Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 in Los Angeles this week, many are speculating the presence of Capcom as one of the more influential game developers and if they will be unveiling anything about the "Resident Evil" game series.

There have been constant talks on two games coming out soon under the "Resident Evil" banner, with the latest of the franchise "Resident Evil 7" and a remake of a classic hit in "Resident Evil 2."

People are questioning which should take center stage, and with that still nowhere from being answered until they are at the E3 2016 event, many people rely on the rumors and news to get updated information.

According to CrossMap, it seems that Capcom may be prioritizing the newest addition to the franchise rather than the reboot of their classic sequel.

By this, fans might assume that despite "Resident Evil 2" already being confirmed by Capcom, they are still trying to push for the seventh installment of the game to be present at E3 2016.

With that in mind, it is also a big possibility that the release of "Resident Evil 2" will be pushed back even further, possibly to 2018.

According to a previous report from GameSpot, it was revealed that the remake was going to be made from scratch to give it the justice it deserve. And that means that the game is being remastered to adapt to the latest tech specs like 1080P or HD graphics.

That will indeed take time, and the presentation of the game may make or break a classic title that Capcom should be very careful of.

For now, fans should just have to stay tuned for more updates on both the remastered title and the upcoming installment in the "Resident Evil" series.
