"Resident Evil" is one of the more popular horror video games ever made, so fans were excited to learn that "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" was coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 2017. However, the demo shown at Sony's Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 created a lot of negative buzz.

For one, those who tried the game using a virtual reality (VR) headset claimed they could literally feel their stomach roll while coursing through the game. Apparently, the game on VR is nauseating.

Kotaku contacted Capcom, the game's publisher, to comment on this and ask what steps the company is taking to resolve the issue. They released a brief statement to address this and assuage fans' reaction.

"The title is still in development and is still being optimized across all aspects, including for VR. The development team's priority with VR is ensuring that players' comfort and ability to enjoy the game to its full potential is realized."

The "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" demo shown at E3 also received backlash from fans who were hoping they would see the usual stuff horror first-person shooter games are made off – guns, zombies, and action-packed play-through. Nevertheless, in a recent interview with GameSpot, producer Masachika Kawata said the final release of the game would be so much different from the demo.

"The demo ... was specially created to focus on the atmosphere that Resident Evil 7 will provide. It doesn't include a lot of other elements that are in the game," he told GameSpot.

If the demo from E3 is anything to go by, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" could succeed in giving its players creepy feels. Incidentally, PC Advisor reported that this horror survival game would be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 24, 2017.

The game is currently available for pre-order, and according to the announcement made at E3, those who will pre-order the game will have access to the hardest difficulty level right off the bat.
